Draft screen: your picks for the next three years, rookie class cost, and a draft pool with combine results and scout ranges

Offseason depth

The season ends. Your job starts.

A new game starts the day after the championship, with last season's standings, champion and awards already on the books. From there the calendar walks you through the offseason a step at a time: re-signings, the franchise and transition tag window, the combine, five rounds of free agency, pro days and the draft.

  • Franchise and transition tags for your expiring players
  • Free agency where other teams bid too, and players decide at the next advance
  • A draft pool with combine numbers, scout ranges, potential and scheme fit
  • Your picks laid out three years ahead, with the rookie class cost against the cap

Contracts & cap

Every dollar has a year attached.

See your cap by season, your room after the rookie class, and the dead money you'll carry if you cut someone. Expiring deals show up on your to-do list, so you decide who gets tagged, who gets re-signed and who walks, before someone else makes the call for you.

  • Salary cap by year, with dead money
  • Contract demands with guaranteed money
  • Franchise tag and transition tag costs by position

Front office, coaching & owner

You answer to someone.

Your owner sets goals, and your job security moves with the results. Hire coaches and staff with their own ratings, personalities and schemes. Point your scouts at the players you care about, set the depth chart and the game plan, and read the mail that lands on your desk from the owner, scouts, trainers and agents.

  • Owner goals and job security
  • Coaches and staff with personality and scheme
  • Scouting focus that sharpens your read on prospects

History & legacy

The league remembers.

Seasons pile up into something. Awards, all-time records, a Hall of Fame, team histories and a news wire keep track of what happened, and a GM job market shows which front offices just got cleaned out.

Your league

Make it yours.

The American Pro Football Circuit has 32 clubs in two conferences, Liberty and Heritage. Pick any of them. Use the built-in editor to change players, staff, teams and league settings, import a roster file, or keep several saves going and branch one to try a different plan.

  • Editor for players, staff, teams and the league
  • Roster import
  • Multiple save slots with export, import, branch and duplicate

FAQ

How much does it cost?

The one-season preview will be free. The full game is planned for Steam Early Access at $19.99.

What do I play it on?

The preview runs in a web browser on your computer, with nothing to install. The Early Access release is planned for Steam.

Are these real NFL players and teams?

No. Franchise Tag GM uses its own league, the American Pro Football Circuit, with fictional clubs and players. It isn't affiliated with the NFL. You can edit the league or import your own roster file.

How do saves work?

Saves are stored in your browser on your own device. You can keep several, and export a save to a file to back it up or move it. Clearing your browser data can remove saves, so export the ones you care about.

When is it coming to Steam?

There's no date yet. Join the email list and you'll hear when the Steam page goes up and when Early Access starts.

How do I give feedback?

Email support@franchisetaggm.com. A Discord is planned. Discord coming soon.
